in search of work..

Today is the first day I've had the time and energy to start searching for work. Resume posted on monster.com; a quick browse with applications sent off to the few desirable jobs; followed by the usual fluttering butterflies and anticipatory nervous energy wondering how long it will take for a head hunter or perspective employer to bite. The whole question of having an SSN or not - poses a slight worry. I know I qualify for the NAFTA TN Visa - but that said - I hope it doesn't become a chicken & egg scenario! Will keep up on the Drupal front in the meantime - just in case the 'real' work doesn't show it's pretty head for some time.

In Boston - Found a home - moved in.. ;)

As an update to all of the people who have been anticipating news of our move to the US, we arrived safely! We also found an apartment on the second day in town. It's about a half hour walk to Harvard Sq. - a 20 min walk to Porter Sq. and a 15 minute walk to Davis Sq. So pretty central in my opinion. Only difficulty is setting everything up with out an American SSN. Even to get a phone this is tricky. So it will be another week or two before I have direct internet. For the moment resorting to outside cafes. Incidentally, Steph is working with a great bunch of people. So far I've only met two of them. I spend my time searching for the necessities for the apt. Today I'm in search of groceries!
