Just a small note to commemorate that I am officially debt free for the first time since I began University in 1996! Well, I've been on and off little petty loans for the last ten years following graduation only because of the move to Ireland followed by some necessary travels and living the good life. Debt was also maintained because of a fairly heavy party/drinking lifestyle and the fact that I could never say 'no' to the opportunity to travel! Same goes with holding up obligations to family to always be there no matter where we're apart physically in the world.
Its also been two and a half years since the wedding (more now) as well as a year since we made the big move across the pond to Boston, USA. All of these things charged big pits into that dream of being debt free. I have to thank my parents for shouldering many unforeseen costs and helping us over specific hurdles whether big or small! Now, as we look forward to the new life and joy that is joining our family - we are thrilled that the financial staircase is finally starting from the ground floor; as opposed to the basement!
