Butter Cake
Ingredients:
- 4 Eggs
- 1/2 lb Sugar
- 1/2 lb FLour
- 1/2 lb Margarine/Butter
- 1 tsp Cream of Tartar (optional)
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 2 tbs Milk
- Vanilla
Instructions:
- Cream butter and sugar
- Add Egg Yolks to the mixture
- Sift flour, baking soda and tartar three times
- Fold flour into butter
- Add milk and vanilla
- Beat egg whites in until stiff
- Add stiff egg whites to the rest of the batter
- Bake in moderate oven, 350° F for 20 minutes
